Our new arrivals!
This week we got some frogspawn in Nursery. The children were delighted to discover that the eggs had turned into tadpoles just 2 days later. The children have been observing the tadpoles closely and are enjoying learning all about the frog life-cycle. They also had lots of fun having 'frog races' and painting lily pads.
The children have been very busy this week planting the seeds which were kindly donated by parents and carers. They talked about what they needed to do to ensure that their seeds would grow and are monitoring and taking care of their plants. The sunflowers which they planted last week are shooting up and the children are looking forward to taking these home at Easter.

Take One Picture Week
'Where in the World' Culture Week
We have had a very exciting week in Nursery! We have been learning all about Spain and Islam.
We loved having our grown-ups in school on Tuesday for our Parent Workshop and enjoyed icing cakes, decorating a picture of a Flamenco dancer and decorating our own flags and fans.
We have enjoyed a variety of other activities including: Spanish dance tuition by the Don Rae Dance Academy, a singing workshop led by Camille Maalawy and a drumming workshop led by Risenga Makondo. We were also very excited to welcome some native Spanish speakers into our classroom who taught us some new Spanish words and read us some Spanish stories.
Monday 17th September 2018 we met Rufus. He is a family member of Mrs Crane. Rufus has spent a considerable amount of time training and 'passing' many behavioural and temperament assessments. All his accreditations can be seen in school.
We are very excited to be welcoming him to our team.
