Free School Meals
All children in Infant Schools are entitled to have a free school meal. If you wish your child to have school dinners, please contact the school office. As the food is prepared and cooked on site the ingredients have to be ordered in advance, therefore notice is required for your child to either swop to dinners or packed lunch.
Additional Support Applications and Queries
Since the Government introduced free school meals for all Infant school children, many parents on low incomes are no longer applying for additional help, (used to be known as Free School Meals). This award not only provided you with a free meal for your child but also additional benefits, for example, free milk, support for school trip payments, opportunities for after school clubs.
If your child is awarded this support, St Rose's will also receive additional funding which can be used for extra resources/support.

Each morning, the children have a snack of fruit and a drink of either milk or water. Milk can be requested and paid for on a termly basis. Letters are sent home during the second half of the previous term, anyone wishing their child to have milk should complete the request slip and return it to the school office, with payment, before the deadline stated on the letter. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate late requests.
