November Update: St Francis Remembers...
We have been remembering our protectors and loved ones who are now in Heaven this week. St Francis class created a fingerprint poppy wreath for our Remembrance Liturgy and spoke about who loves and protects us.
We have also watched the 'Poppies' clip below and talked about our protectors and loved ones in Heaven.
Key Information:
Our morning nursery session runs from 8.45 -11.45. Our afternoon session runs until 14.45.
P.E.
Our P.E. day is Friday. Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings are not allowed to be worn in school at any time.
Forest School
Our Forest School day is Monday. Please bring in named Forest School kits to be kept in schools.
A Typical Day in St Francis Class
8.30 - Classroom doors open
8.30 - 8:45 - Funky Finger Activities
8.45 - 9.00 – Register, calendar and prayer.
9.00 - 9.10 – Phonics
9.10-9.20 - Group time learning
9.20 -10.20 – Child Initiated Learning
10.20 - 10.40 - Snack and story
10.40 - 11.00 - Group time learning
11.00 - 11.30 - Child Initiated learning
11.30 -11.45 – Story, Singing, Prayer and Home Time (for 15 hour children)
11.45 - 13.00 - Lunch
13.00 - Register and story/singing
13.15 - Group time learning
13.30 - 14.30 - Child Initiated Learning
14.30 - 14.40 - Story, Singing, Prayer and Home Time
Our Nursery Reading Garden
The children in St Francis love to sit in our lovely reading corner and share their favourite books as well as enjoying our story sacks!

At St Rose’s, we want to give every child this same passion for reading. We have worked with the School Book List to resource every classroom book corner at school with a fresh range of appropriate and exciting texts.
