Prayer and Liturgy

At St Rose's, prayer and liturgy are integral parts of our daily routine, helping to foster a sense of community, reflection, and spiritual growth. Each class begin each day with a prayer, pray before lunch and end our school day with a prayer.

How Prayer and Liturgy is timetabled at St Rose's:

Monday - Gospel Assembly

The school gathers together for our weekly Gospel Assembly, reflecting on the weekly Sunday gospel reading.

Tuesday - Celebration of the Word

This takes part in each class and is led by the class teacher. The children gather together, listen to the Bible, respond to what they have heard and then think what can they do to live out God's message. Each class has a prayer table, Bible, candle, crucifix and liturgical cloth.

Wednesday - Hymn Practice

Worship by engaging the heart and soul in prayer.

Friday - Celebration Assembly

The school gathers together to celebrate the achievements made by our pupils.

We also come together throughout the year to celebrate key events:

Welcome Mass

Harvest

Month of the Holy Rosary

Remembrance

Advent

Epiphany

Lent

Easter

Month of Mary

Prayers at St Rose's

School Prayer

Dear St. Rose,

Please watch over me today,
Help me to be loving,
In everything I say.

Teach me to be kind and true,
Like you, in all I do.
Bless me, my family and my friends
And keep us safe as we pray.

Amen

 Our Father

Our Father,

Who art in Heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name;

Thy Kingdom come;

Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

 Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace,

the Lord is with thee;

blessed are you among women,

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
