Art and Design
The intent of our Art curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the development of every child’s ability and academic achievement in the area of Art. School has identified key intentions that drive our Art curriculum. At St Rose’s Infant School our Art curriculum intentions are:
- To build a skills based art curriculum which develops learning and results in the exploration and acquisition of knowledge and skills.
- To build an art curriculum that allows children to evaluate and analyse using the language of art, craft and design.
- To build an art curriculum that explores a range of artists so they can describe the differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and making links to their own work.
- To build an art curriculum where children can reach and exceed their potential at St Rose’s Catholic Infant School and beyond.
