The intent of our Geography curriculum is to provoke curiosity and to provide answers to questions about both the natural and human aspects of the world and to encourage children to gain a better understanding of the world they live in and their place in it. We aim to give our pupils a good geographical knowledge, good enquiry skills and the ability to use simple maps and to be able to create their own, and the ability to communicate information in a variety of ways. The geographical skills the children will gain through their time at St Roses will be both progressive as well as transferable, which will stand them in good stead for the duration of their time at St Roses and into further education and beyond.
