Nursery - St. Francis - Miss McDonagh and Mrs Collins

Welcome to Nursery -

St Francis of Assisi

Our Nursery children have been very busy over the last couple of weeks getting stuck into our Minibeasts topic. Our role play area has been an Investigation Lab where the children looked for clues to find the different Minibeasts. We read the story 'What the Ladybird Heard.' The children decorated Ladybird biscuits and matched the correct number of spots to the numbered Ladybirds. In R.E the children are learning about May being the 'Month of Mary'. The children celebrated this by visiting our Prayer Garden and making a banner with flowers. During Maths week we have revisited the rhyme of Incy Wincy Spider. The Nursery children went on a number hunt using their spider senses to climb up the frame and find the numbers. The children made Fruit Kebabs using five different Fruits and enjoyed counting how many they had left as they ate them. We are looking forward to learning all about looking after a Pet next week where we have some special fluffy visitors coming to meet our Nursery children.
