Nursery - St. Francis - Miss McDonagh and Mrs Collins
Welcome to Nursery -
St Francis of Assisi
In nursery we have been reading the story Supertato, all about a potato who likes to keep fit and strong. The children have had the opportunity to make their own Supertato in our creative area and have used real vegetables to conduct a vegetable race, just like in the story. We have made healthy dinner plates and talked about what foods we can eat that can make us big, strong and healthy like Supertato, we also compared the sizes of the different vegetables using words such as tallest, shortest and longest.
Our role play area has been converted into a shop selling lots of different fruits and vegetables and some children have a had a go at writing their own shopping lists.
We have also had fun using the climbing frame in the school hall and playing in our Dinosaur Park in our outdoor area where we were exploring frozen dinosaur eggs!
