Summer 2

This term we are learning all about the seaside...

In English we will be writing simple sentences and having a go at using the conjunctions 'and' and 'because' in our writing. We will be using texts such as Sharing a Shell, Seasides Now and Then, The Big Book of Blue and Commotion in the Ocean.

In Maths we will be looking at numbers beyond 20, counting things you can't see (e.g. sounds) and we will be revising odd and even numbers and doubling and halving.

In RE we will be learning about our Church Family; we will be visiting our local church and looking at and discussing the importance of key features in the Church.

Key Information

We change our reading books every Monday. If possible, please leave a comment/sign your child's reading record.

Our P.E. day is Friday. P.E. kits should be kept in school at all times. We will send them home over the school holidays. Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings are not allowed to be worn in school at any time. It would be helpful if girls could have a pair of white ankle socks in their PE bag for the days they come to school wearing tights.

Our Forest School day is Thursday- please note that this session is biweekly.  Please make sure your child has their forest school kit and wellies in school.
