Forms & Paperwork
Appointments during school time
If you need to request collecting your child during the school day for an appointment please complete this form and either email to admin@stroses.herts.sch.uk or print and hand to the office. This has been left as a word document for you to be able to complete it.
We want all of our pupils in school as much as possible in order to maximise their learning time and opportunities. We strongly discourage parents from making appointments for children during school time unless it is necessary.
Points to remember:-
- Taking a pupil out of school during term time disrupts their learning and may cause them to fall behind their peers. It can also affect a child’s relationship with others.
- Term time appointments when added to unpredictable absences eg: For illness, all add up. Learning time lost from school cannot be replaced!
Requests for Leave
If you are requesting time off for your child during the school week this form needs to be completed and either emailed to admin@stroses.herts.sch.uk or printed out and handed into the office.
We want all of our pupils in school as much as possible in order to maximise their learning time and opportunities. We strongly discourage term time breaks and holidays and we ask parents not to request them unless they are for truly exceptional circumstances.
Points to remember:-
- The Government has made it clear that parents do not have an automatic right to withdraw their child from school during term time.
- Taking a pupil out of school during term time disrupts their learning and may cause them to fall behind their peers. Absence can also affect a child’s relationship with others.
- Term time breaks when added to unpredictable absences eg: For medical reasons, all add up. Learning time lost from school cannot be replaced!
No leave will be granted for a Year Two pupil during May
From Autumn 2013 family holidays/leave will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances
