This term we are learning all about people who help us...

 

In Phonics we will be using our 'harder to read and spell words' in a sentence and reviewing our Phase 3 sounds. Please see weekly Home Learning.  In Literacy we will be exploring texts such as Zog and the Flying Doctors, Charlie and the Firefighter, Look up and Superhero like You.

 

In Maths, we will be looking at more and fewer, regrouping the whole number, ordering and sequencing, positional language.  

 

In RE, we will be learning about Jesus as a boy and Sorrow and Joy, preparing for Lent. The children will be delivering a class assembly for Parents and Carers at the end of term. 

 Key Information
Reading Books

In Reception school reading books are changed weekly. Your child will be allocated a book change day. Children will receive one guided reading book and one free read that is matched to their phonic ability. If there is no comment in your child's Reading Record we will assume you have not had a chance to read with your child. Please record the text title(s) in your child's reading record. 

 

 

P.E. DayOur P.E. day is Friday. P.E. kits should be worn in school on Fridays. Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings are not allowed to be worn in school at any time. 

 

Forest School

 

Our Forest School day is every other Friday morning.  Please make sure your child has their forest school kit and wellies in school.
