This term we are learning all about
Seasides, now and then...
In Phonics we will be using our 'harder to read and spell words' in a sentence and reviewing our Phase 4 sounds. We will also be looking at alternative vowels. Please see weekly Home Learning. In Literacy we will be exploring texts such as What the ladybird heard on holiday, Sharing an Shell, Commotion in the Ocean.
In Maths, we will be looking at grouping and sharing, counting beyond 20, patterns and deepen our understanding of number composition.
In RE, we will be learning all about God's family. We will be looking at Churches. This will include a trip to our local Church with Father David.

| Reading Books | In Reception school reading books are changed weekly. Your child will be allocated a book change day. Children will receive one guided reading book and one free read that is matched to their phonic ability. If there is no comment in your child's Reading Record we will assume you have not had a chance to read with your child. Please record the text title(s) in your child's reading record.

| P.E. Day | Our P.E. day is Friday. P.E. kits should be worn in school on Fridays. Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings are not allowed to be worn in school at any time. |
Forest School
| Our Forest School day is every other Friday morning. Please make sure your child has their forest school kit and wellies in school. |
